OBEDIENCE:
K-9 Agility
(& Obedience),LLC offers Puppy Pre-School, Puppy Manners Obedience, Beginning
Obedience, Intermediate Obedience, Advanced Intermediate
Obedience and Competition Obedience. After ‘six
courses’ of obedience... ‘the dessert
tray’ offers Canine Good Citizen and Rally-O. The purpose
of Canine Good Citizen is to ensure that our favorite
companion, the dog, can be a respected member of our
community. Rally-O is orchestrated obedience; a really fun
venue for you and your dog. Rally-O has a wonderful way of
tightening up yours and your dog’s obedience skills. All
classes are for 6 weeks in duration, meeting once a week
with homework in between classes. The homework is only 10 –
15 minutes a day. If you can commit to that short period
of training time you will see measurable progress at the end
of every set of 6 week classes. Obedience is also
considered a sport; one of discipline and structured self-control on
the part of both the handler and the dog. Remember your dog
will only be as good as you are! Training schedules
are about every 6 weeks, with a classes on the weekends and
during the week. Group lessons consist of no more than
10 handler/canine teams. These lessons are held in a
fenced half acre or 3000 square foot indoor training
facility.. Socialization of your dog with other dogs, people and
children is very important. Private lessons are
available, as well.. Jacque socializes your dog with
her 3 dogs, bringing a dog out for every lesson. Sometimes
the class will move to the park where there are people and
other canines present adding working distractions during the
class time. There are times that a class will run over the
hour; it is important to her that the handlers and the dogs
are understanding and comfortable with the new exercises.

AMERICAN KENNEL
CLUB CANINE AMBASSADOR:
The AKC Canine Ambassador is a program designed
to educate elementary school students what the
responsibilities are with pet ownership. Jacque
has been invited into the
Alamogordo school system to conduct assemblies
for the student body lecturing on pet
responsibility and aggression prevention for the
past ten years..
Sometimes the students are able to take a field
trip to her home for this assembly. After this
learning experience; an obedience and agility
demonstration is performed for the students and
teachers. Handouts and coloring books are also
distributed to the various grades compliments of
the American Kennel Club . Educating
the children is a good way to circumvent some of
the problems with canines that we are
experiencing in today’s society. Call with any
inquires and/or questions.
